On the Boards:
Ohio National Guard - Butcher and Associates provided Design Documents,
Construction Documents and Construction Phase Services for the expansion of the
existing Unit Training Equipment Site Facility, adding two maintenance work
bays. This is our second project at the Camp Ravenna Joint Military
Training Center in Newton Falls, Ohio in recent months, and is being
administered through our Nationwide Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity
(IDIQ) Contract with the United States Property and Fiscal Office.
USDA Forest Service - Butcher and Associates provided Design Documents, Construction Documents, Construction Phase Services, and LEEDŽ oversight and commissioning for the new 19,342 square foot
Baldwin/White Cloud Ranger District Office Administration Building/Warehouse on an existing site in the Huron Manistee National Forest. This project will achieve at least a Silver certification under the LEEDŽ system.
USDA Forest Service - Butcher and Associates provided Architectural, Engineering and LEEDŽ services required for a 10,142 square foot renovation of the existing Conifers building, renovation of an existing unheated warehouse, design of a new heated warehouse, and design of site related activities for the Chittenden Center Ranger District Office and Administrative Office in the Cadillac-Manistee National Forest. This project is being designed to achieve at least a Silver certification under the LEEDŽ system.
Livingston County Airport Terminal -
Butcher and Associates partnered with
RS&H Aviation to design a new General Aviation Terminal at Livingston County
Airport (OZW) in Howell, Michigan. The terminal, a one story structure
will include administrative offices, a pilot lounge and planning area, a car
rental office, conference rooms, and passenger waiting areas. The project
is funded through MDOT Aeronautics and is scheduled for construction in 2011.
Our engineering team includes RS&H of Flint, MI and Scales & Associates of
Detroit, MI.
Otsego Lake Township Fire Department - Expansion Feasibility Study - Butcher and
Associates worked with the township to evaluate the existing fire
station building for the purpose of renovating and expanding to accommodate fire
protection needs in the future. Several alternatives are planned based
upon practical construction methods, available space on the existing property,
and budget/funding sources. The end product of the study will provide the
township board with the information necessary to make an informed decision about
the fire department and its equipment and facilities.
Kinross Township EMS Facility -
Butcher and Associates was selected to design a new Fire and EMS
Facility for the Township of Kinross in Michigan's upper peninsula. The facility
was projected to be approximately 20,000 SF, located near the Chippewa
County International Airport. The project is currently awaiting funding.
Inspiration comes from many sources, and also can be expressed in many mediums.
Butcher and Associates produced renderings, massing models and other digital
graphics to help clients gain a clearer understanding of their project's design.
Drawings are produced on AutoCAD Architecture and
Google's SketchUp software is
used to produce renderings and massing models. Of course there will always
